Life is short. 

Advertising can be a tricky thing. Well not anymore. This is THE headline. Well, it is technically in testing phase right now but I think with a bit of polish this’ll solve all of advertising, forever. 

Every brand, every product and every campaign - "Life is short, X is shorter". 


So I can finally share something that I was working on while at Buzzman Paris. 

A campaign about making the product itself the actual message. We took away a part of the chocolate to challenge the audience to “dare to be tender” 


My friends at Man+Hatchet made this lovely little spot about respect in the FA. 

I love the advert although I totally disagree with the final message. WE DO NEED ROBOTS. 

Always more robots. 


This Wolf Mantra. Too often I see fantastic creative people that have let themselves slip into a world where they let others define what is and isn’t creative. Often it is work that seems to define what productive creative is, puts artificial limits on how we express ourselves. Sometimes that is defined by client or by budget but very often it is creative people limiting themselves. We should never let our job limit anything we do, our careers should enhance us, make us feel empowered. We work in a fantastic time, the world is bubbling with ideas and now more than ever the ability to make those ideas happen.
So if you fine yourself limited then step back and reconnect with what you define as creative. Then find the role that allows you to be that.

Chanel is like a chair, or a book or in fact anything in this wonderful new trend of saying nothing in your TV adverts.

I quite like the new Brad Pitt Chanel tv advert as it is so generic that it works well with nearly every brand that wants to pretend to be deep and meaningful without putting in the effort of actually standing for anything.

Here is the original in all its glory.

Facebook’s 1st Advert. It is very dramatic for a website that allows you to upload photos and poke people. 

Drama. Long Pauses. Pianos. These things are like a Facebook advert.


I made a voiceless edit of the Guinness advert, thought I’d share it here. I wanted to give it a cinematic feel. The cut is still long, I’ve only done minor tweaks.

Okay so I wanted to see if I could tweak the Guinness Cloud advert. For me the video felt like it wanted to go somewhere but didn’t, hence the voice over they created. While I can’t change the story I can change the soundtrack to something a little bit more, in my opinion, moving. 

I wanted the piece to feel emotional - more like an open statement than a complete story.
